Louisville, Colorado, May 19, 2015 — Envysion, a leading provider of cloud-based video driven business intelligence software to help companies deliver on their brand promise with instant, actionable video intelligence, is today announcing its Retail Kiosk offering.  This new offering gives retailers a complete solution for gaining insights at all of their locations to improve operations, customer experience, sales performance and address theft and fraud with Envysion’s video analytics technology.

“Many retailers look to kiosks for added convenience and a cost-effective footprint, but they can also be hard to safeguard since malls often dictate aesthetics, and the ability to lock merchandise behind a gate, as with stores, can be limited,” said Michael Lynch, VP of Product Management at Envysion. “Our new kiosk offering gives retailers a complete solution to prevent theft and fraud and gain insights into ways to improve sales and operations.”

The new Retail Kiosk offering includes cameras and mounts for optimal kiosk operation, as well as the ability to leverage video with sophisticated analytics and operational, financial and employee metrics to gain insights into ways to enhance operations and increase sales. The video insights from the locations can be easily viewed and accessed by store managers and executives via the web from any location.

The Retail Kiosk offering extends Envysion’s video driven business intelligence and can be used to measure:

  • Fraud by looking at certain suspicious transactions like certain types of refunds, sales at risk for charge back, cash outs, and more
  • Operations by examining key operational best practices such as uniform compliance, training, open/closing procedures, activation procedures and more
  • Sales through examining new activations with no accessory or other up sale (and variations thereof), coaching opportunities, ‘game film’ that can be shared across the organization, etc.

Additionally, this information can be used with Envysion Video Analytics, powerful video algorithms that continuously and automatically drive measurement and intelligence from everyday video, and Envysion Audit Services, which combines managed video with trained analysts to optimize all the benefits of the platform.

Envysion’s technology is currently used by AT&T® Portables (an AT&T retailer), 4G Wireless (a Verizon retailer), Connectivity Source (a Sprint retailer) and Active Communications (an AT&T retailer).

“We use Envysion to give our teams positive feedback. Employees perform better and we see the results. After installing video and audio at our kiosk location, our profit went up 25 percent,” said Attique Rasheed, head of training and operations at AT&T Portables, the largest AT&T dealer in the Washington D.C. and the Baltimore, Maryland area. “We have noticed stores with video intelligence perform better across the company.”
